THIRD Wednesday - Silhouette FOURTH Wednesday - Small-bore Long Range (prone at 200-yd). NOTE: On MAY 30 & AUG. 29 - Trial International-style 3-position 50-meter matches. FOR SMALLBORE
SILHOUETTE, YOU CAN USE ALMOST ANY .22 RIMFIRE RIFLE AND STANDARD-VELOCITY
AMMUNITION. (High-velocity ammo is prohibited as it can damage the targets.) RIFLES
RANGE FROM HUNTING / PLINKING TO FANCY CUSTOM TARGET; BOLT ACTION OR SEMI-AUTO.
ADJUSTABLE SCOPES FROM 6 TO 16 POWER ARE USEFUL AND PREFERABLE, BUT HOLDING OVER AT THE
VARIOUS DISTANCES CAN WORK TO START WITH.
COME TO A MATCH AND SEE WHAT OTHER SHOOTERS ARE USING. .22 RIMFIRE WITH SCOPES, EXCEPT IN THE INTERNATIONAL 3-POSITION (IRON PEEP OR OPEN SIGHTS). IN THE VARIOUS PRONE EVENTS, AN ADJUSTABLE SLING IS A HUGE ASSET. SPOTTING SCOPES ARE ALSO VERY USEFUL.
COME OUT AND ENJOY A FUN AND CHALLENGING SPORT! |
